As a freelancer, trust is everything.
It's the foundation that turns potential clients into paying ones. So, how do you build that trust quickly?
By having a clear process that you can confidently communicate: Prep, Production, Delivery.
Prep: Show clients you’re not just diving in blind. Explain how you start by understanding their needs, setting goals, and planning the project. It’s like showing them the blueprint before building the house. I made a video on this process here.
Production: This is where the magic happens. Share your workflow, tools, and how you’ll keep them in the loop. Transparency here reassures them you’re on track and committed to quality.
I use Framer mostly for these projects. Sometimes I design in Figma first. I also use Canva for graphic design work basics.

Delivery: Clients need to know when and how they'll receive the final product. Whether it’s a website, code, or design, make it clear when the project will be completed and what the final handoff will look like.
With Framer projects, I usually stay on as the manager of the site and set up hosting etc. For coding projects there’s usually a GitHub repo.
By mastering these stages and explaining them well, you’re not just selling a service—you’re showing clients you’re reliable and professional.
Next time you're pitching to a potential client, walk them through your process. It’s a simple but powerful way to earn their trust and, ultimately, their business.
Very good article. Simple is best.
